Super Model #2

Pop Quiz:

It’s your first day of work.  Ever.

Your first shift on your first day at your first job. In walks a man sporting a hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and a pistol. You’re being robbed at gunpoint.

What do you do?  WHAT DO YOU DO?*

This actually happened to my friend Lori’s 16-year-old son this week.

Most kids (hell, most people) I know would freak out if faced with such a situation. And by freak out I mean scream like a sissy and pee their pants.

But not Jack Snider.

No, he did everything you’re supposed to do. He stayed level-headed. He followed instructions. He didn’t act defiantly toward the gunman or display bravado.  Jack even kept his cool when asked, “Do you want to die?”, and encouraged the perpetrator to stay calm while the till was being emptied.

And, in spite of this traumatic event, he had no qualms about going back to work the very next day.

Can you say “Employee of the Month?”

Jack, your ability to keep your composure under pressure is SUPER.
(and HUGE props to Lori and Tom for obviously raising a confident and intelligent son, you should be very, very proud)

*bonus points for those of you who caught the Speed reference
