The Sweetest Thing
For their first major writing project of the school year, the third graders were required to write a personal narrative.
Monkey wrote a riveting story about a recent visit to Lenscrafters and their vast selection of designer frames.
Her friend Abby (you remember Abby and her mad hula hoop skilz, right?) wrote the following:
I yawned…I thought…I wondered if it will come.
I saw Ava at school so I thought it wouldn’t until I heard the news.
Ava came up to me and said “no baby.” “Sad” I answered. “It’s okay, my Mom will get induced Thursday” Ava said.
I had a feeling that the baby would be a boy. Then the day came.
“Ava,” I said, “what’s the name?” “Milo Hudson Steiner” Ava told me. “Cool, a boy.” “Yep,” Ava answered.
“Well I can’t wait to meet him.” The day came!
“Hi baby Milo.” I felt lucky that I got to meet Milo. I was amazed to see how his feet were so soft, he was so small, and his clothes were striped blue and white.
I will never forget the day I met Milo Steiner.
And I will never forget you, Abby.
This is one for the baby book.
Awww… That’s so sweet! 🙂
